Burlington Stores plans to sell two major South Jersey properties following its upcoming corporate headquarters relocation to Philadelphia.
Together, the Burlington County properties contain approximately 739,000 square feet of office and industrial space.
The larger property sits at 1830 Route 130 in Burlington and totals approximately 521,000 square feet.
That facility includes 135,000 square feet of office space and a 386,000-square-foot warehouse. The warehouse is no longer operating.
Additionally, Burlington plans to sell its 218,000-square-foot office building at 2006 Route 130 in Florence Township.
The two properties sit less than half a mile apart along the Route 130 corridor.
However, the properties likely will not reach the market until Burlington completes its headquarters relocation.
The retailer plans to move its corporate headquarters to 3151 Market Street in Philadelphia.
That relocation is expected no earlier than late 2028 or early 2029.
As part of the move, Burlington will consolidate employees from three South Jersey offices into one Philadelphia location.
Meanwhile, the company will retain its 648,000-square-foot facility in Edgewater Park.
That property includes approximately 519,000 square feet of warehouse space and 129,000 square feet of offices.
Burlington plans to continue operating the Edgewater Park warehouse.
The future sales could eventually create significant redevelopment or repositioning opportunities along Route 130.
Notably, the Burlington property offers a substantial combination of office and former warehouse space.
The Florence property could also attract investors evaluating large office assets or alternative redevelopment opportunities.
Furthermore, the properties benefit from locations within an established Burlington County commercial corridor.
As Burlington prepares for its Philadelphia move, the planned sales could bring two sizable properties to the South Jersey market.
Their eventual disposition will be worth watching as investors evaluate opportunities across Burlington County’s evolving office and industrial landscape.
